This case highlights a common and difficult problem with old crowns and dark root-filled teeth.
This is the dark grey discolouration that is seen around the edges of the teeth and the blue-grey
discolouration of the gums.
Also in this case the central incisors were excessively wide relative to the other teeth and the
gum line high due to recession.
The superb result was achieved with a combination of immediate implants and gum grafting to thicken
the soft tissues and also bonding composite on the lateral incisors to broaden them and thereby allowing
us to create a more harmonious result with better tooth proportions. We have also corrected the gum recession
and created a more pleasing overall aesthetic outcome. A beautiful result!
